Butter Shoyu バター醤油 – simply butter and Soy sauce flavored. There are millions of products with Butter Shoyu flavor in Japan. Popcorn, Chips, Ramen, Bread, Pasta, Fried-Rice, Chicken wings, Seafood, Steaks, .. even Cheese and Pie. *Caution- Butter Shoyu flavor is pretty addictive!
Ingredients (2-3 Servings):
- Semi- dried Chow Mein Noodle 2 servings
- Your favorite Meat/ Seafood 100g
- Spinach 7 – 10 leaves
- Mushroom 2 – 3
- Bean Sprouts 1 cup
- Butter 2 tbl spoon
- Soy sauce 2 tbl spoon
- Salt and Pepper 1-2 pinches
*Recommended Garnish- Green Onion, Beni Shouga 紅生姜 (Japanese red pickled ginger), Black or White Sesame, Chili pepper
Step 1: Heat up a pan, add 1 tea spoon of vegetable oil, and cook your meat/ seafood.
Step 2: Add spinach, mushrooms, and bean sprouts in the pan, and cook until vegetables become soft. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Add noodle, Butter, Soy sauce the pan, quickly mix and stir fry well until color of the noodles become even, and soy sauce touched noodles evenly.
Adjust the sodium level by reducing amount of soy sauce! I recommend to make it 1.5 tble spoon for children and people who have high blood pressure.
For vegetarian option, switch the meat and seafood to Firm Tofu, Chickpeas, or Konjac.
